Our website includes social network programs (plug-ins) – especially Facebook – which are operated exclusively by the providers of the particular social network. The network's logo, when visible on our website, is what identifies it as a plug-in.  A visit to a website that is part of our internet and contains such a plug-in triggers a direct connection to the server of the particular operator. This means that the information that you have visited our website is passed on to that operator.

If your visit to our website involves logging in via your personal user account, the network operator can attribute the visit to the account. Any interaction with plug-ins, e.g. by clicking on the Facebook "like it" button or leaving a comment, means that this information is transmitted direct to the relevant operator and stored there.  If you wish to prevent such transmission of data, you need to log out – before you visit our website – via your social network operator account.

Information on the purpose and scope of the collection of data by the particular operator and the operator's further processing and use of your data can be found in the data protection statement supplied by the operator of the social network that you use. The statement will also have details of your rights and the setting facilities for the protection of your privacy.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer to enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services to the website operator regarding website and internet use. The IP address communicated by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not associated with any other data held by Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the release of data generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: (

If the saved data shall be processed for advertising purposes, additional explicit permission is  required (so-called opt-in). It would be inadmissible to agree this permission as a T&Cs clause and to only grant the user the right to object to this. Such a clause could appear as follows. It is important that it is clearly recognisable. Advertising and market research permission I agree for data provided by me and data resulting from my use to be stored and used for advertising directed at me (for example, information about special offers, discounts) by post, e-mail and text message, as well as for market research purposes.
 Place a cross here if permission is granted.

We use the online advertising program ‘Google AdWords’ and conversion tracking in the context of Google AdWords. Google conversion tracking is a service operated by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; ‘Google’). If you click on adverts placed by Google, a cookie is placed on your computer for conversion tracking. These cookies lose their effectiveness after 30 days, contain no personal data and cannot be used for personal identification.

If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that you have clicked on the advert and were forwarded to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a separate cookie. Therefore, it is not possible that cookies concerning the websites of AdWords customers can be tracked.

The information that is gathered with the help of the conversion cookie serves to produce conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. As a result, the customers know the total number of customers who have clicked on their advert  and were forwarded to a linked site with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which the users could be personally identified.

If you would not like to take part in tracking, you can stop this use if you prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly (deactivation option). You are then not recorded in the conversion tracking. You will find more information, as well as Google’s data protection declaration at:

Plug-ins for the social network which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (‘Facebook’) are used on these web pages. If you access pages on our website that contain this plug-in, this will generate a connection to the Facebook servers and indicate the plug-in on the site by means of message in your browser. In doing so, the Facebook server is informed about which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook will assign this information to your personal user account. When using the plug-in functions (e.g. clicking the ‘Like’ button) this information is also assigned to your Facebook account, which you can only prevent by logging out prior to using the plug-in. Further information on the data collected and used by Facebook, your rights and privacy can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy.

The ‘+1’button of the social network Google Plus of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA, (hereinafter ‘Google’) is used on these web pages. If you access pages on our website with the ‘+1’ button, this will generate a connection to Google’s servers in the USA and indicate the button on the site by means of message in your browser. At this time, information such as your IP address and which websites you have visited is transmitted to Google’s server. This happens regardless of whether you are registered or are logged into Google Plus. The information is transferred even if users are not registered or logged in. The ‘+1’ button is not used to capture your internet visits. With ‘+1’ buttons, Google does not permanently record your browser history and does not analyse your visit to a website with a ‘+1’ button in any other way. Google saves data concerning your visit for about two weeks for system maintenance and troubleshooting purposes. However, these data do not comprise individual profiles, usernames or URLs and are not forwarded to us.

Moreover, if you are a member of Google Plus and are logged into Google Plus during the time in which you are using the plug-in, the information collected about your visit to the website is connected to your Google Plus Account and disclosed to other users. Also in the case of interactions which are possible with the different Google plug-ins, the relevant information about you is collected and transferred to and saved by Google. You can see an overview of the different types of Google plug-ins here:

If you have made your profile publicly accessible in the Google Plus settings, your Google ‘+1’ can be incorporated as a reference together with your profile name and your photograph in Google services, such as in search results or in your Google profile or in other places on websites and internet adverts. If you would not like Google to directly link the information collected to your Google Plus profile, you must log out of Google Plus before you visit our site.

Further information on the data collected and used by Google, your rights and privacy can be found in Google’s data protection policy:

You also have the option of preventing Google plug-ins loading by installing the appropriate add-ons in your browser.

Functions of the Twitter service are incorporated into our website. Twitter is a social media portal of the company Twitter Inc.,795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, (USA).  We use Twitter plug-ins. If you access a website which contains such a plug-in, there is a data exchange with Twitter’s servers located in the USA.  Also in the case of interactions which are possible with the different Twitter plug-ins, the relevant information about you is collected and transferred to and saved by Twitter. Moreover, if you are a member of Twitter and are logged into Twitter during the time in which you are using the plug-in, the information collected about your visit to the website is connected to your Twitter account and disclosed to other users. If you would not like Twitter to link and merge the information with the data of your Twitter account, you must log out of Twitter before visiting our website. You will find more information about the collection and use of data by Twitter at
