The Hotel Flandrischer Hof has participated in the "DEHOGA Environment Check" for hotels and gastronomy in the following categories: engery/climate, water, waste and food/purchasing regional products. The settled requirements were fulfilled and based on evaluated results reached the 

„We notice an increased request of our guests with regards to sustainability and enviromental awareness. We want to respond to it with the abitious and transparent award of the „DEHOGA Environment Check.“

The participants of the "DEHOGA Environment Check" have to pass a critical inspection in fields of energy and water consumption, waste accumulation in terms of residual waste and food as also purchasing regional products. Every categorie has requirements that can be graded in bronze, silver and gold. The individual features of the hotels and gastronomies are also incorporated.

Background „DEHOGA Environment Check“:

The "DEHOGA environment Check" is the extention of an energy campaign startzing in 2006 by the ministry of environment and the DEHOGA where close to 6000 hospitality businesses joined. 
It was developed specifically for the requirements of the hospitality industry with focus on small and medium sized businesses. Because of its relevance in the industry and its practical use, the "DEHOGA Environment Check" enables a fair and transparent comparability for the attended businesses.
