When you book directly through us, you enjoy many advantages, which we are happy to list for you here.
Nowadays, advertising in particular encourages you to use hotel search engines to plan your trip. Of course, this means you are faced with a whole flood of prices, making it almost impossible to get a complete overview.
Once you have made a reservation via the online portal, it is also your contractual partner. Please contact the respective platform for all further change and cancellation requests. Please understand that we must refer you to the respective provider and cannot advise you on the online offers of the platforms.
As a hotel, we also sell some rooms to various providers who then market our hotel on their own terms. Unfortunately, the supposed offers do not always come with exclusive benefits. We are happy to provide you with a short guide that you can use to evaluate the individual offers.
Some supposed bargains have the disadvantage that they cannot be canceled or rebooked. Some providers even charge an additional fee for modifications. If your arrival is not yet certain, we definitely advise against choosing a non-refundable rate, as you will lose all of your money if you are unable to travel.
Many online portals insist that the booked room be paid for immediately (by credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, etc.). Of course, it is also common practice for travel agencies to require 20% of the total booking amount to be paid in advance after a contract has been successfully concluded. Online, however, you must pay 100% immediately after booking. This guarantees the provider that they can retain the money even if the cancellation is not made in time, as explained in point 1.
Basically, all providers on the Internet have a hotline or general email address that you can contact if you have any questions. Unfortunately, you often have to wait on hold on the phone for competent help, which unfortunately never comes. Some call centers are responsible for several countries, which is why they sometimes lose track of things. Certain service hours must also be observed, and some numbers may be subject to a charge. Emails are usually not answered satisfactorily or individually enough. It can also happen that communication is not possible in your native language.
Every website has terms and conditions that you usually only have to confirm by clicking a checkbox. People often don't bother to read through the entire text, even though it sometimes contains conditions that they would not actually agree to. This can lead to a rude awakening when it comes to making a chargeable change to a booking. In such cases, it is usually worth studying the terms and conditions.
As already mentioned in point 4, the terms and conditions lack transparency regarding the actual conditions that apply to the offer in question. In some cases, it is also unclear whether breakfast is included in the price. In addition, categories are invented that unfortunately do not exist in our hotel (Classic, Standard, Normal, etc.).
When you book a business trip online via a portal, this can sometimes present you with another problem. It is sometimes not possible to enter the company address, which means that the invoice cannot be deducted. Even retrospectively, it is usually very difficult to change or even request an invoice.
